This past Saturday, we danced the night away at our 6th annual Pilobolus Ball. Many were in attendance at the festive soirée, which featured performances of “Gnomen” and an excerpt of “Contradance” by Pilobolus dancers. Continuing last year’s momentum, the Litchfield Country Friends of Pilobolus aided in the underwriting of another new piece for the 2011-2012 season, the details of which, if you weren’t at the Ball, you’ll have to wait for the official announcement to hear. (Here’s a hint: non-human.)

And with that, we kickoff our 23rd season at the Joyce Theater in New York City. Opening night is tonight, July 12th. Tickets are sold out for tonight’s show, but there is still some availability for the rest of our 4-week run. Tickets are going fast, though, so buy early!
Also today, the Pilobolus Kids Day Camp starts at our home studio in Washington, Connecticut and will continue throughout the week, followed by two weeks of the Pilobolus Institute’s Summer Intensive Workshops. It’s not too late to sign up! Email kmacdonald@pilobolus.org for more information.
Also, a memorial celebration will be held to honor the life and work of Jonathan Wolken, our late co-founder and co-artistic director, on Thursday, July 15th, at 2PM at the Joyce Theater. We hope you will join us.
